We Love Kate Spade
We’ve loved the Kate Spade brand for a long time. But, what we’re loving even more is the announcement of a new line, Kate Spade Saturday, targeting a younger demographic and at a lower price point. We’re excited about the news and looking forward to seeing what this means for the in-store environment. Kate Spade New York stores are known for the brand’s signature storytelling style and colorful brand personality, and we’re hoping “Saturday” will bring the same upbeat energy. Stay tuned; you know we’ll be watching.

ALU recently announced a new relationship with ABC Mannequins. During the Visual Market, three Italian designers flew in for the week to sculpt, style and literally “make up” the mannequin faces right before our very eyes. Atelier at its best!

The intentionally misplaced eyelash and bright red lips make Zara’s mannequin distinctive and the perfect complement to the casual chic fashions found inside the store.

SAKS

Is it a face? Is it a mask? Is it both??? The “Stepford Wives” effect of these same-faced mannequins caught my eye…as did their romantic ruffles and chantilly lace!

After seeing new products and techniques offered by the best of the best vendors, along with hot new trends in retail throughout the buzzing city, I can now sit at my drawing table, music on (of course) and sketch away!
