At The Mall at Marathon in Nassau, Bahamas, The Bahamas Telecommunications Company unveiled its new flagship on December 6th. Rt. Hon. Hubert A. Ingraham, Prime Minister of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas, was is in attendance. In addition to providing remarks and participating in the ribbon cutting, he flipped the switch on the company’s much-anticipated 4G network. The Prime Minister noted that Nassau is now on par with the most advanced telecommunications networks in the world.
Also in attendance were the spokespeople for the new 4G network, the beloved Bahamian Golden Girls. These Golden Girls are three women who graced their country with the win of an Olympic gold medal in the 4×100 relay in the 2000 Olympics in Sydney. They represent the lightning fast speed and reliability of the new 4G network.
And now a little behind the design…Chute Gerdeman created an experiential retail flagship store design for this burgeoning Bahamian telecommunications brand. The environment reflects the island culture and sensibilities. The customer experience supports how customers uniquely connect with friends and family—bringing the islands together.

Bringing the culture into the store, a massive Jukanoo mural was designed by a well-known local artist, Anthony “Big Mo” Morley. He was even on hand to sign the digitally-printed creation.
