We Love Kate Spade
We’ve loved the Kate Spade brand for a long time. But, what we’re loving even more is the announcement of a new line, Kate Spade Saturday, targeting a younger demographic and at a lower price point. We’re excited about the news and looking forward to seeing what this means for the in-store environment. Kate Spade New York stores are known for the brand’s signature storytelling style and colorful brand personality, and we’re hoping “Saturday” will bring the same upbeat energy. Stay tuned; you know we’ll be watching.

We Love Warby Parker!

Online eyewear brand, Warby Parker first wowed us in the winter with their bazaar-like pop-up shop in Soho. Making a spectacle again, Warby takes up space in The Standard Hotel in downtown LA. Appropriately named The Readery, the pop-up pairs the chicest sunnies with the hottest book titles—two summer essentials. With a second pop-up appearance, we can’t help but wonder if this brand is testing the waters for a more long-term place in retail, or if it’s just about creating a name for the burgeoning brand?

We Love Cash Mobs
Trending now…cash mobs. Like a flash mob, but better. The masses are using social media to organize events, providing a way to join together and support local businesses. The concept is simple. With $20 in hand, members of a community come together to shop in a locally-owned establishment to support local business and, in turn, the area economy. Interested? Check out the Cash Mobs Blog or CashMob.com to find a mob near you. Don’t miss National Cash Mob Day on May 24, 2012.

We Love Paul Smith’s 2012 Olympic Games Stamp Design
We’re fans of great design even when its form is literally as small as a stamp. To celebrate the London 2012 Olympics, British fashion designer Sir Paul Smith has created a set of stamps for the Isle of Man Post Office. Inspired by good friend Mark Cavendish, Olympic cyclist and Isle of Man native, the colorful collection represents several Olympic sports including: swimming, tennis, running, archery, sailing, rowing and cycling—a personal favorite of Smith’s. For more info, check out Paul Smith.
